Alex's Flying Trips

September 16, 2007 - Napa - Auburn - Napa

Landed in Auburn on a Sunday afternoon. Wings Restaurant and the Pilot Shop were closed for the day. But the traffic pattern was busy. Good thing everyone were good in announcing locations. In the ground, it was also busy with activities including a helicopter doing T&G. There were even warbirds buzzing overhead. The fuel station was also busy.

Restrooms located towards the airport entrance were open. With Wings Restaurant close, another option is to walk to the nearby golf clubhouse. It's probably a quarter of a mile walk from the airport entrance. I didn't go there though. I just bought a drink from the soda machine near the pilot lounge. The pilot lounge(-in a trailer) was open. I took a peek inside and noticed flight planning terminals. I didn't use them. Instead, I closed my flight plan and filed my return flight plan the old fashion way --- I used the phone booth next to the pilot lounge.
