I have never been to this airport, so, this one Sunday afternoon, I decided to land to check it out.
This is a privately owned airport but open to public.
During my visit, except for some rabbits crossing the taxiways,
no one's around. Not a single plane was even parked at the ramp.
There's a golf course north of the airport(-that's the picture above with
a decorative jet plane), and supposedly has a restaurant. I decided to check it out next time,
and flew to Vacaville Nut Tree instead.
The wind was calm and I entered right downwind runway 18 for landing; straight out runway 18 for takeoff.
There's no weather info here, so I used the nearby Yolo County AWOS at 125.775.
The runways, taxiways, and ramp were in good condition; didn't check out the tie down conditions at the transient area. | |
Per Airnav, the price for selfserve avgas here was competitive; but I didn't get a chance to check it out. |
