Iligan Church Providing Aid for Persons with Disability During Pandemic

Church So Blessed in Iligan City held an event providing support to Persons with Disability (PWD). According to Pastor Marben Maglipac, " I am deeply concerned by the growing risk of disruption to essential support services for persons with disabilities. They are among the worlds most marginalized and stigmatized even under normal circumstances. In response to their basic needs, we are giving an initiative support here in Iligan City towards people with disabilities in our response to COVID-19."

The PWD participants came from different barangays in Iligan. It was not only a plain gift giving but also a fellowship and livelihood orientation --- including tailoring and dress making, glass fabrication, steel fabrication, soap making, slippers making, food processing, grafting and hanging basket making. After the fellowship and orientation, food packs and hygiene kits were given. Now the churh is planning for the next event.

This church has a very inspirational growth. During the foundation trustee visit in 2019, the church was only 6 years old then. Yet, they already have 6 satellite churches all over Mindanao, and growing. They even have a cross cultural outreach in Marawi City serving mostly the Maranao tribe.

The foundation provided supplemental financial aid for this event. The foundation also sent care packages to Church So Blessed for as part of the Balikbayan Box Ministry (picture below):
