The 2010 Annual Gathering of mission partners, supporters and friends was held on Sept. 11, 2010. Attendees,
some coming all the way from Sacramento (-one just flew-in from Texas) were given mission and project updates.
See below or click here for update highlights.
The meeting was opened by the singing of "The New Psalm 23" and "Thy Word" by the adult singing group of foundation
friends and supporters. Because of health issues, our missionaries --- Rev. and Mrs. Eleno and Erlina Bingtan ---
were not able to personally provide the update. Foundation trustee, Alex Bingtan, instead provided the update.
After the update, Zeal, the foundation Youth Music Ministry, performed the acoustic version of
some of their original songs. Follow their progress and concert/CD release announcements at
www.ZealMusic.Wordpress.com or at our Music Ministry link.

2010 Update Highlights
I. Mountain Church Renovations /Rebuilding Click here for background info of this ministry. Both Basak and Sac-on churches have taken full advantage of their reconstructed church buildings. In addition to regular active worship services, these churches have hosted conferences, seminars, district meetings and community activities.

We still get requests for help rebuild or repair other mountain churches buildings and facilities. These projects are on hold at the moment until resources are raised. Examples of these requests include:
Rebuilding of an outdoor assembly area at Sac-on with better construction materials. |
Additional pre-school/kindergarten classroom space. |
II. Scholarships Click here for background info about this ministry. Luke 2:52 - "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." For 2010, the foundation provided partial scholarships to 22 deserving students including: * 10 from Sac-on * 4 from Basak * 6 from Paril, and * 2 from Tang-angilan. We believe that helping their education is the best way to uplift the economic conditions in the project area. These scholars also became active youth leaders in the area churches.

Galatians 6: 10 - "…let us do good to all people, especially to those who
belong to the family of believers." We provided financial assistance to 3 pastors serving various mountain churches in the area. We also continue to provide supplemental financial support to the Retired Church Workers. |
