Oct. 18, 2014 Update - 2014 Humanitarian Trip to San Felipe, Mexico

This is the 3rd humanitarian trip for Susan and Alex to San Felipe, Mexico as part of the Flying Samaritans fly-in medical personnel and volunteers to this part of Baja, Mexico.

This was was another successful and blessed flight --- the eye clinic saw 225 patients; this may have been a record for the number of people examined and provided with new eyeglasses. In addition, the Flying Samaritans also held a pediatric clinic that saw 25 children in nearby orphanage , and performed 5 ENT surgeries. As in previous clinics, this was a joint effort with the local Lions Club and the Mission San Felipe Church.

Oct. 18, 2014 --- Alex and Susan were assigned to help out in the eye clinic held in the Mission San Felipe Church. Even before the clinic opened, people were already lining up outside. This line looks longer than the line from previous clinics.
After registering, patient's vision were then tested and screened.
After the vision test, the patients then went through the eye refraction testing.
Next was the consultation with an eye doctor who reviews the results of various tests and may conduct further tests if needed.
Finally, the eyeglass station where patients were given prescription eyeglasses.
Oct. 19, 2014 --- Returning home the following day after a successful medical clinic; preflight checks before the long flight home.
Flying Samaritan airplanes landing almost simultaneously in Calexico, USA for customs processing for their US reentry. There were a total of 8 aircrafts of various sizes/models participating in this trip.
