Susan and Alex were at San Felipe, Mexico on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2016 for a medical mission as part of the
Flying Samaritans organization(click here for more info on
Flying Samaritans).
There were two clinics held on Oct. 1, 2016 --- a pediatric clinic, and an eye clinic. These clinics
were joint efforts with the Flying Samaritans, the local
Lions Club and the Mission San Felipe Church. There were also volunteer medical students from
Mexicali who served as interpreters. The eye clinic saw about 300 patients that day
with more than 250 patients given prescription glasses. Those with more serious eye problems,
such as severe cataracts, were referrred for follow-up exams and treatments.
This was another successful and blessed medical mission trip. We thanked God for the safety and protection

Sept. 29, 2016:
The trip started from Vacaville with a overnight stop at Fullerton before crossing the border to Mexico. | |
Sept. 30, 2016:
Crossed the US-Mexico border over Calexico/Mexicali and landed at San Felipe; it felt so hot when we arrived that Susan took shade under the wing while the plane was being secured. | |
Oct. 1, 2016:

Oct. 2, 2016:
Time to depart for the return flight to US. This was another successful and blessed medical mission trip. We thanked God for the opportunity to be part of it, and the safety and protection provided throughout this trip. |
